| About UsSydney Free Saddlers Ltd was established in 1976 by Sydney Free who is a Fellow of the Worshipful Company of Saddlers. Anne and Fraser Glennie bought the business from Sydney Free when he decided to retire in 1996 and have owned it ever since.
We try to stock a wide variety of items to cover all equestrian disciplines and pride ourselves on our friendly, knowledgeable service. Any items that we do not stock we are happy to try to get in for customers looking for a specific product. A large percentage of our customers are regulars and we get to know their requirements well.
The shop is located in Cirencester with its own car park and is open 6 days each week Monday to Saturday from 9am until 5.30pm, but we are closed on bank holidays. We also run an out of hours service for emergencies or last minute purchases that have been forgotten. | Nigel Higgs - Master SaddlerNigel is a Master Saddler and now has sole charge of our onsite workshop, which offers a full repair service mending everything from bridles to shoes and boots to convertable car roofs. He is also available for saddle fitting visits to your yard within a reasonable distance of Cirencester. Alongside the repairs he makes beautiful hand made English leather items for the shop including bridlework, belts and other leather items, made to measure saddles and also side saddles. | Helen Ormonde - Shop ManagerHelen joined Sydney Free Saddlers in 1986, originally starting as an apprentice in the workshop before moving to the shop floor. From a local farming and equestrian background, Helen's knowledge in all areas is second to none. | Sue Herbert - Shop AssistantSue joined Sydney Free in 19.. having worked with and kept horses her entire life she offers a wide ranging knowledge over most equestrian disicplines.
